The SLABBED Grading Standard
Version SGS-1.0.0. Every certificate records the version it was graded under.
A grade is computed, not opined. Every input comes from a named provider at a recorded time, is stored in a snapshot, and is hashed. The same snapshot always produces the same grade, and anyone can download a snapshot and recompute it.
Subjective measures (cultural impact, originality, recognizability) are never produced by software. They come only from approved human reviews and are copied into the snapshot at grading time. Until they exist, a grade is provisional and cannot be certified.
Missing data stays missing. A category is scored only when metrics covering at least 60% of its weight have data; its score is renormalized over what is present. Three or more unscored categories make a token not gradable. A grade is a collectible assessment, never investment advice or a safety rating.
Calculation
Each metric yields a score from 0 to 1. A category score is the weighted mean of its scored metrics. The raw score is the weighted mean of category scores.

Finishes are not grades
Standard is the default. Premium marks final grades of 9.5 and above. Historical Edition is curated by the registry. Creator Edition is struck when the minting wallet is proven on-chain to be the token’s deployer (fee payer of its first transaction) or metadata update authority, and signs the mint. No finish can be purchased, and none changes the grade.
